The adrenal fatigue quiz

Published on June 13, 2015 by Dr. Myra Reed

Adrenal fatigue occurs when the adrenals—two glands on top of the kidneys can no longer release enough cortisol to balance your body’s response to stress. A little bit of stress can be a good thing, but too much of it for too long can cause a variety of health problems that many doctors just aren’t trained to identify or treat.

In my office, I believe it’s time to look for the root cause of illness—not just provide a temporary treatment or prescription—and adrenal fatigue can be a common trigger of many health problems. While this quiz shouldn’t be used as a diagnostic tool, if you answer yes to even a few of them, it’s time to explore the cause. Don’t live another day feeling less than your best.

The Adrenal Fatigue Quiz

_____I am snappy or angry when under pressure or in stressful situations

_____I feel shaky or nervous under pressure

_____I have low sex drive

_____I have experienced a long illness, surgery, or physical stress

_____I have been through an emotionally difficult time

_____I am easily fatigued

_____I can sleep all night and still wake up tired

_____I have trouble thinking clearly and remembering

_____I feel my best after 6 p.m.

_____Strong smells give me headaches

_____I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma or rheumatoid      arthritis

_____I need coffee, soda or drugs to get up and get through my day

_____I crave foods high in salt, fat or sugar

There are many other symptoms that can be included in this quiz, and no two people may experience adrenal fatigue in the same way. Thankfully, adrenal fatigue can be treated and its side effects don’t have to rule your life.

How would it feel to wake up refreshed and ready for your day? What would you give for sustained energy and the ability to think clearly? It’s possible, and I can help you get there.

Give me a call today and let’s get started. Test results can be ready in just a couple of weeks, and because we use advanced saliva testing, there’s no needles and no pain. I look forward to helping you on your journey to recovery.
